We all know that attaching a good image to a LinkedIn post will double your audience but finding a great copyright-free image can be difficult – but not anymore.
Getty Images, the world’s largest photo service, has just made its millions of pictures free to use.
Until now Getty Images put an owners watermark on each of its photos. Going forward all that’s required is that an image is uploaded using an open-embed programme with a credit to Getty at the bottom of the image.
It’s great news for bloggers and Linkedin members but possibly not such good news for photographers.
Getty say they decided to offer the images for free because thousands of people were using them illegally anyway on Twitter and Linkedin updates.
Now you have access to a massive library of images stretching from the Great War to red carpet Oscar photographs.
There is now no excuse for your Linkedin updates or blogs not to contain great visuals.
